Watch this video.. Israel's behaviour regarding Palestinians is getting more and more disturbing. No, I'm not claiming that there are never any anti-Jewish sentiments expressed by Palestians or anti-Israeli sentiments, for that matter. What I'm saying is that if you want to claim the moral upper hand, as Israel does, and when you have WAY more weapons and cause WAY more casualties to your enemies than your opponents do, then these t-shirts are especially troubling.
Dehumanizing people, making their dehumanization the kind of joke that one can put on a graphic T-shirt and wear down the street, that paves the way for genocide. There, I said it. I think that Israel ought to be cautious to avoid causing a full-fledged genocide of the Palestinian people. No, I do not think it is an actual genocide RIGHT NOW, and I do not think most Israelis wear these t-shirts, but the video shows us there is cultural sympathy for the people who DO wear them, that you can buy one and they are not considered sartorial hate crimes. Now THAT is a troubling trend.
I'm sorry, but a t-shirt about murdering a pregnant Palestinian woman that reads "1 Shot, Two Kills" Is morally repugnant. If anyone tries to defend it, I think he or she is morally repugnant too.
