RIP Dr. Tiller

Dr. George Tiller was a hero. One of the few American doctors who performed late-term abortions, he always knew one day he might become a martyr to a woman's right to choose, an issue that is for some reason especially controversial in America. Yesterday, he was shot dead at his place of worship. He was just trying to go to church and was shot dead. My thoughts and prayers are with Dr. Tiller's family who no doubt feel violated, as not even their Church (which is meant to be the ultimate sanctuary in Christianity) was a safe space for them.

For a video interview with Dr. Tiller's pastor, click here. It provides a first-hand account of the unspeakable crime that took place yesterday. I pray there will someday be a time when those who provide a woman with her right to choose are not quite so often killed for it in the United States. I hope those remaining doctors in the US who perform abortions (helping women incalculably by doing so) are not deterred from continuing their practices by this recent event.
